Event Description

Volunteers will inspect tortoise fencing and conduct road mortality surveys along the highway where tortoise fencing is not present to determine higher priority areas where tortoise fencing will need to be installed. Volunteers should be physically capable to walk 1-4 miles. It is important to be prepared to be outside- closed- toe shoes, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water, etc.

Volunteers will meet at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office located at: 624 S. 10th St. Las Vegas, NV 89101 to carpool out to the site for surveys. Start time may vary depending on optimal desert tortoise activity temperatures.
