Event Description

Help care for the Mojave Desert tortoises that are waiting to be adopted at our Tortoise Habitat! 

Tasks may include: feeding, washing water dishes, keeping records, weeding, maintaining pens, administering medication.  All abilities welcome - there are tasks for everyone!  Come prepared to work outdoors with water, snacks, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, comfortable work clothes, suncream, etc.  Tortoise Group will provide all equipment.  There are no restroom facilities at the habitat. 

The habitat is located near Craig and US-95 in northwest Las Vegas - the actual address will be released upon sign-up.  Please do not enter the property until our Senior Habitat Volunteer has arrived, and only during the scheduled hours. 

Event start time may change depending on temperatures and is expected to be earlier as the summer progresses.

New volunteers will need to complete an Interest Form and Waiver before signing up!   

Registration will close 12 hours before the event.
