Desert Tortoise Edible Native Plants Workshop at Cactus Joe’s Pt 2

This workshop will go over feeding behavior for desert tortoises and diet of edible desert tortoise plants focused around native plants. Tortoise Group has always recommended the use of native plants when possible because it is part of the desert tortoise’s natural diet. Desert Love will be speaking about the care of native plants. Attendees will be welcome to join us in planting native plants in the area of the future desert tortoise habitat. Native plants from Desert Love will be on display and available. If you plan to participate with the planting, please come prepared with outdoor work clothes/ closed-toe shoes.
